The Pacific Islands Regional Climate Assessment (PIRCA) produced this report on climate change impacts, indicators, and adaptive capacity of Hawai‘i and the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands, with the support of nearly 100 scientific experts and practitioners.  The report was a regional contribution integrated into the Third National Climate Assessment.

Vancouver Climate Change Adaptation Strategy

The World Bank commissioned this report from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Climate Analytics to synthesize the science and the potential climate impacts on a world without improved mitigation efforts. This report provides a snapshot of recent scientific literature and analysis of likely impacts and risks that would be associated with a 4° Celsius warming within this century, focusing on developing countries and vulnerable populations.

South Florida Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy 2012-2107

September 2012

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for South Florida is a plan to support the regional economy of Broward, Miami. Dade, and Monroe Counties. The CEDS will guide federal and state investment priorities and funding sources, and delineates lead organizations responsibilities for execution of the CEDS. The strategy takes into account the region’s vulnerability to climate impacts, and discusses advance preparation and adaptation, as well as the necessity for South Florida to become disaster resilient to remain economically strong.

Climate Change Adaptation Plan for Coastal and Inland Wetlands in the State of Michigan

September 2012

The Association of State Wetland Managers developed this white paper on climate change projections and adaptation recommendations for Michigan wetlands for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. City of Flagstaff, Arizona Resiliency and Preparedness Study

The City of Flagstaff, Arizona completed a study that assesses 115 of the City’s critical operations that have been impacted by climate. Conducted by a team of City staff and regional partners (the "Core Team"), the study recommends an overarching policy aimed to increase protection and resilience within municipal operations to hazards - including fire, severe winter storms, drought, floods, and more.

Urban Risk Assessments: Understanding Disaster and Climate Risk in Cities

The World Bank produced this framework for conducting climate risk assessments to help cities plan for the impacts of climate change and natural disasters. The framework is intended for city decision makers, urban practitioners, and is fitting for use by public, private, and non-governmental entities. It is adaptable to cities of differing financial statuses, population size, hazard and institutional capacities.
