The New Jersey Climate Adaptation Directory was created to provide resources that assist in guiding practitioners in New Jersey through the adaptation planning process. This directory contains geographic data, tools, reports, model policies and ordinances, case studies, and current projects focused on evaluating vulnerabilities and developing and implementing climate change adaptation plans and strategies.

National Sea Grant Resilience Toolkit
The National Sea Grant Resilience Toolkit is a public access site with hundreds of resources from Sea Grant institutions and partnerships. These resources or tools are primarily short reports on coastal resilience best practices and projects conducted through Sea Grant programs. The “Tools” available on the site include: Decision Support Tools, Technical Assistance, Guides and Manuals, Training, Communities of Practice, Data and Assessments, and Legal Services. “Legal Services” has sectoral legal information and reviews of common law tools from Sea Grant partners.

The Caribbean Climate Online Risk and Adaptation TooL (CCORAL)
Developed by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, CCORAL is a Caribbean specific web-based decision support platform that can be used by communities and organizations to understand climate impacts and to identify options for enhancing climate resilience. CCORAL aimed helping decision-makers in the Caribbean to integrate climate change considerations into their processes across all sectors, such as planning, programming, and budgeting. CCORAL is designed for users of all skill levels, with resources provided for climate experts and non-experts.

NJADAPT is an online tool to be used to understand how climate change is affecting various populations, places and assets in New Jersey - now an in the future. Through interactive maps, community planners can see how infrastructure, population and the environment are vulnerable to storm surges, coastal flooding, and sea level rise. New York’s Expanded USGS StreamStats Tool
December 2015
The U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) has developed a web-based application that operates in conjunction with the existing StreamStats application for New York State to incorporate projected precipitation changes under various 21st century climate change scenarios. This application will allow transportation planners and engineers to explore how climate change may affect high flows, which can assist with the design of over-water infrastructure (such as culverts and bridges) to accommodate these changes.

Climate Smart Cities: Decision support tools for climate change planning
December 2015
The Trust for Public Land researched the current state of decision support tools being used for climate change planning, along with the needs of potential users within municipal governments and partner organizations for these types of tools. The report summarizes findings on tool availability and function, the readiness of cities for tool use, their capacity and capabilities, the availability of data for planning, and some cases of translating results to action. Appendix B provides a comprehensive list of 50 web-based publicly available decision support tools that could be useful for climate adaptation planning and development.

Massachusetts Wildlife Climate Action Tool

The Massachusetts Wildlife Climate Action Tools provides information on climate change impacts and vulnerability of a variety of the state’s species and habitats; as well as adaptation strategies and actions based on user selected location and interests. The online tool is focused on fish and wildlife species, forests and forestry practices, landscape connectivity (including climate related impacts on roads and culverts), land protection, and conservation planning.

Maine Climate Adaptation Toolkit

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) launched a Climate Adaptation Toolkit, an online reference library focused on resources for adaptation and resiliency planning in the state. Available on the DEP’s website, the toolkit provides links to key state, federal, and other climate related documents, climate models, data sources, and technical providers, to assist with adaptation work in Maine.
