The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a non-profit organization that seeks to encourage civil, respectable political discourse between the political parties. As the only Washington, DC-based think tank that actively promotes bipartisanship, the BPC works to address the key challenges facing the nation. BPC policy solutions are the product of informed deliberations by former elected and appointed officials, business and labor leaders, and academics and advocates who represent both ends of the political spectrum.

National Estuarine Research Reserve System

The National Estuarine Research Reserve System is a federal-state partnership. The federal government provides funding and administers the system, but the sites are managed on a day to day basis by state agencies, universities and other local partners. The Reserve System has identified climate change and its impacts as strategic priorities, and is developing an initiative with key actions to address climate change adaptation, mitigation, and to promote resilience of estuary ecosystems.
