The DOI manages the Nation’s public lands and minerals, including providing access to public lands and the Outer Continental Shelf for renewable and conventional energy; is the steward of 20 percent of the Nation’s lands including national parks, national wildlife refuges, and the public lands; is the largest supplier and manager of water in the 17 western states and a supplier of hydropower energy; and upholds Federal trust responsibilities to Indian tribes and Alaska Natives.

ICLEI's Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) helps local governments prepare for the impacts of climate change through vulnerability assessments and policy development, as well as investment and development decisions.

Illinois State Climatologist Office

The Illinois state climatologist promotes the use of climate information in areas crucial for the economic and environmental benefit of Illinois by disseminating climate information, monitoring climate events, conducting applied research, making presentations to community organizations, and talking to individuals and the media. The Illinois state climatologist has extensive records of climate data for the state, including daily temperature, precipitation, and snowfall data for nearly 400 sites, of which 200 are currently active.

The Louisiana Governor's Office of Coastal Activities provides leadership and support to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA). Formerly the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) provides both national and global climate data that is used by both government and the private sector.   This data is intended to maximize the resource provided by our climate and minimize the risks of climate variability and weather extremes. NCEI is the world's largest active archive of weather data. The Center produces numerous climate publications and responds to data requests from all over the world.

University of Southern California Sea Grant (USC Sea Grant) supports projects addressing the issues and opportunities of Los Angeles and other metropolitan areas near, using, and benefiting from the sea. USC Sea Grant funds research on the critical issues associated with the influence of massive cities on the sea, promotes connections between scientists and the policy-makers who must craft solutions, and broadly distributes information to the electorate through public education outreach efforts.
