The SECC is a member of NOAA's Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program, which supports climate research for decision-makers and policy planners at a regional level. SECC aims to use advances in climate sciences to provide scientifically sound information and decision support tools for agricultural ecosystems, forests and other terrestrial ecosystems, and coastal ecosystems of the Southeastern USA. Southwest Fisheries Science Center - NOAA Fisheries Service

The Southwest Fisheries Science Center is the research arm of NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service in the Southwest Region. Center scientists conduct biological, economic, and oceanographic research on marine resources throughout the Pacific Ocean and in the Southern Ocean off Antarctica, to ensure that these populations remain healthy and at sustainable levels. Responsibilities include maintaining healthy fish stocks for commercial, recreational and subsistence fishing; conserving and recovering populations of protected species; sustaining ecosystem services; and coordinating with domestic and international organizations to implement and monitor fishery agreements and treaties.

State, Local and Tribal Leaders Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience

President Obama signed the Executive Order "Preparing the United States for the Impacts of Climate Change" on November 1st, 2013 establishing the Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience. The Task Force is directed to advise the Administration on how the Federal Government can respond to the needs of communities nationwide that are dealing with the impacts of climate change. The Task Force members include state, local and tribal leaders from across the country who will use their first-hand experiences in building climate preparedness and resilience in their communities to inform their recommendations to the Administration.

 Stratus Consulting is a research and consulting firm that specializes in helping  governments, non-government organizations, and the private sector understand and reduce their vulnerability to climate change. Their work includes analysis options to reduce vulnerability to climate change.   These options are effective given the uncertainties about climate change and other factors. Stratus Consulting also excels in developing climate change scenarios, including scenarios of changes in extreme events and in analyzing the consequences of climate change for water resources, coastal resources, human health, and ecosystems.
