World Wildlife Fund (WWF)

The World Wildlife Fund's (WWF's) mission is the conservation of nature. This non-profit has been active for more than 45 years. An international organization, WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by 1. 2 million members in the United States and close to 5 million globally. WWF combines outreach with a foundation in science, involves action at every level from local to global, and ensures the delivery of solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature. Combining global outreach with local expertise WWF has led a variety of adaptation and resilience projects around the world (which are described on their website), published leading text on climate change issues, and established the global initiative Earth Hour, when millions of people around the world cast a vote in favor of action on climate change.

Wyoming State Climate Office

The Wyoming State Climate Office (SCO) is a branch of the Wyoming Water Resources Data System (WRDS). Together, WRDS and the SCO are the single largest providers of water and climate-related data in the state. Housed within the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Wyoming, WRDS and the SCO are funded by the Wyoming Water Development Office.

Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Center for Coastal Resources Management

The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) Center for Coastal Resources Management (CCRM) develops and supports integrated and adaptive management of coastal zone resources. To fulfill this mission, the Center undertakes research, provides advisory service, and conducts outreach education. Within its broader mission, the Center has specific tasks to support Virginia’s wetlands and shoreline management programs.

The Environmental Protection Agency's WRAP scientists and engineers investigate the potential effects of climate change on the nation's watersheds and water infrastructure, and develop practical and effective adaptation solutions. The research supports EPA's Sustainable Water Infrastructure Initiative to ensure our nation's water infrastructure meets future needs of demographic and economic development.
