The USGS Maine Water Science Center provides current real time data on ground water, streamflow, and water quality from sites throughout Maine. The center also has a number of reports covering climate change and water availability, river and lake ice, river system management, and other topics.
The Northern Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (NALCC)is one of 21 LCCs established by Secretarial Order No. 3289, which focus on on-the-ground strategic conservation efforts at the landscape level. LCCs are management-science partnerships that inform integrated resource-management actions addressing climate change and other stressors within and across landscapes, linking science and conservation delivery. The currently participating bureaus are the Minerals Management Service, National Park Service, and the U.
This report summarizes selected local land use ordinances and regulations that include specific mention of sea level rise or that incorporate appropriate policy responses that may be used to address sea level rise. While developed for The Nature Conservancy Long Island, it is a useful resource for any coastal state.
