U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit

The U. S. Climate Resilience Toolkit, as called for in President Obama’s Climate Action Plan, is a website developed by a partnership of federal agencies and organizations led by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Toolkit will enable decision-makers to take action to improve their climate resilience using data-driven tools, information, and subject-matter expertise. The comprehensive site is designed to serve interested citizens, communities, businesses, resource managers, planners, and policy leaders at all levels of government.

USGCRP Federal Adaptation Resources website
February 2014
In February 2014, the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) launched a new website featuring an easy-to-access collection of resources to help Federal agencies with planning and implementation for climate change adaptation. Resources include relevant executive orders and strategic plans, technical reports on adaptation research, guidance and frameworks for adapting to climate change, and summary documents for decision-makers who need only an overview.

Surging Seas Risk Finder

Climate Central’s Surging Seas Risk Finder is an interactive sea level rise mapping and analysis toolkit which shows populations, infrastructure, and assets exposed to coastal flooding and sea level rise for every coastal state in the U.S. The Risk Finder includes interactive maps, tables and figures of results, risk timelines, downloadable data and local reports for cities, counties, states, and by zip code.

USGCRP Metadata Access Tool for Climate and Health (MATCH)
2014
MATCH is a searchable clearinghouse of publicly available Federal metadata (i. e. data about data) and links to datasets on public health and climate change. The MATCH database records are available in the categories of: allergies, cancer, cardiovascular disease, environmental exposures, extreme weather events, food, heat, human development, infectious disease, mental health and stress, neurological disease, respiratory disease, and water. Most metadata on MATCH pertain to geospatial data sets ranging from local to global scales.

Rhode Island Climate Change Collaborative "Waves of Change" website
2014
Researchers from the University of Rhode Island (URI) and the Rhode Island Sea Grant formed the Rhode Island Climate Change Collaborative. Experts in natural science, behavior science and communications are collectively engaging in research and outreach to prepare Rhode Islanders for climate change, and build resilient communities. The immediate goal of the Collaborative is to share information with the public about climate change impacts on the state and what adaptation options are available, through a comprehensive website.
