Building on the Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment for Lee County, Florida the CCRS includes a process for identifying potential climate change resiliency strategies through coordination and consultation with local government leadership in 39 Lee County departments and divisions. Identification of resiliency strategies that could be utilized by Lee County to reduce the negative effects of climate change help in positioning the County to take advantage of potential climate prosperity opportunities.

The Alaska chapter of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has developed a Conservation Action Plan (CAP) using TNC's CAP methodology. The plan covers coastal, nearshore, and marine environments of the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas - including pelagic and benthic habitats, the continental shelf and ocean basins, lagoons and marshes, islands, and the shoreline - within the Exclusive Economic Zone of Alaska. Climate change and its effects are identified as the primary threats to natural resources of ecological and cultural importance in the region.

The Adaptation Advisory Group (AAG) to the Alaska Climate Change Sub-Cabinet created this adaptation response plan as part of Alaska's overall climate change strategy, which also addresses mitigation and research needs, and includes a special Immediate Action Workgroup report. To address the impacts of climate change, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service developed a strategic plan, "Rising to the Urgent Challenges of a Changing Climate," (see separate entry) which establishes a basic framework from which the Service and their employees can work with the larger conservation community to help ensure the sustainability of fish, wildlife and their habitats.

On November 15, 2008, 10 organizations consisting of non-profits and Massachusetts state agencies sponsored a conference at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. The conference, "Responding to Climate Change: Working Together to Conserve Land, Wildlife and Habitat," was the first of its kind in the Commonwealth and in the nation. The conference brought together nearly 200 conservation leaders from across 60 organizations, including scientists, land stewards, hunters, anglers, government officials, advocates, foundation officers, and policy-makers.
