Detroit Climate Action Collaborative

The Detroit Climate Action Collaborative (DCAC) is a project bringing together community groups, universities, state agencies, city leaders, environmental and public health organizations, and Detroit businesses and institutions. These constituents plan for how carbon pollution reductions and climate change preparedness projects will contribute to the resilient and responsible rebuilding of Detroit. DCAC was convened by the community environmental organization Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice (DWEJ). DCAC's objectives include:

• Identify risk and vulnerabilities of a changing climate
• Educate and engage the public on climate change (mitigating impact and adapting to climate change)
• Foster cultural and institutional shifts regarding climate change
