FedCenter Climate Change Adaptation Program

The Climate Change Adaptation Program supports Federal agency climate adaptation planning on the Federal Facilities, Environmental Stewardship, and Compliance Assistance Center (FedCenter.gov) website. The site acts as a portal to a substantial amount of planning resources, first providing information to define climate change adaptation and why Federal agencies need to adapt, with a background on the Implementing Instructions for federal agency climate change adaptation.

The Interagency Climate Change Adaptation Task Force identified a set of guiding principles to consider when designing and implementing adaptation strategies, and links are provided to these guiding principles for the federal framework for adaptation planning. Interagency adaptation planning efforts are presented - addressing water resources management, coastal and ocean communities and ecosystems, and protection of fish, wildlife, and plants.

The website provides access to case studies on agency, state, and local adaptation planning levels. Information is also available on regulations, guidance, policy, tools, and lessons learned as well as training, presentations, conferences and planned workshops.
