NJADAPT
NJADAPT is an online tool to be used to understand how climate change is affecting various populations, places and assets in New Jersey - now an in the future. Through interactive maps, community planners can see how infrastructure, population and the environment are vulnerable to storm surges, coastal flooding, and sea level rise. Reports, videos, and additional resources are available for further information on climate change impacts in New Jersey.
NJADAPT hosts web-based tools to create maps using the Coastal Hazard Profiler, to visualize flood hazards and sea level rise using the NJ FloodMapper, and to assess communities vulnerabilities and increase preparedness with the Getting to Resilience tool.
Reports regarding climate change impacts affecting New Jersey can be found on the Understanding Climate Change tab. In addition, the NJ Climate Stories are short videos that explain climate change impacts in New Jersey on a variety of topics.
The site also hosts the New Jersey Climate Adaptation Directory which links to climate change adaptation and preparedness data, tools, reports, model policies and ordinances, case studies, and current projects underway in New Jersey.
NJADAPT is a collaborative project of Rutgers University in partnership with other academic institutions, local practitioners, and state and federal agencies.
