Office of the Delaware State Climatologist

The Office of the Delaware State Climatologist (ODSC) is the principal scientific extension service for weather and climate information for the State of Delaware. The Office resides within the Department of Geography and the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment at the University of Delaware. Dr. Daniel J. Leathers serves as the Delaware State Climatologist.

The Office of the Texas State Climatologist (OSC) is housed in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, College of Geosciences, Texas A&M University. The OSC serves as a clearinghouse for climate information for the state of Texas. The OSC issues regular climate updates and conducts research on climate monitoring and climate prediction in Texas and the southern U.S.

The Office of the Washington State Climatologist (OWSC) is called by the State of Washington to serve as a credible and expert source of climate and weather information for state and local decision makers and agencies working on drought, flooding, climate change, and other related issues.   The web site provides links to sources of climate data and seasonal forecasts for the state of Washington. Most data on the site are available for free; a charge may apply for additional data or interpretation, or for testimony in a legal case.

Ohio Sea Grant

The Ohio Sea Grant College Program funds a broad range of research projects in various areas including aquaculture, aquatic ecology & dead zone, aquatic invasive species and zebra mussels, biotechnology, coastal & open-water engineering, economic impact, education, fish & fisheries, geographic information systems, global change, marine recreation, tourism & boating, natural history, outreach, pollution, social/political/legal, and wetlands.   Research proposals are solicited from every college and university in Ohio.

The Oklahoma Climatological Survey (OCS) was established in 1980 to provide climatological services to the people of Oklahoma, conduct research on the impacts of climate on human activities, and serve as a support facility for the State Climatologist. The mission of research at the OCS is to continue to gain fundamental understanding of the complex interactions that determine weather and climate conditions in and around the Southern Great Plains of the U. S. OCS has a legislative mandate to acquire, process, and disseminate climate and weather data and information for use by the state's citizens.

Oregon Sea Grant supports an integrated program of research, education and public outreach to help people understand, responsibly use, and conserve ocean and coastal resources. Program activities are conducted in several interdependent and critical topical areas including healthy coastal ecosystems, sustainable coastal development, safe and sustainable seafood supply, hazard resilient coastal communities, and marine education. Many projects chosen address climate adaptation - focusing on such topics as water supply and conservation, maintaining healthy forests and corridors, and urban greening.
