Asian Pacific Environmental Network
The Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) holds the vision that all people have a right to a clean and healthy environment in which their communities can live, work, learn, play, and thrive. APEN was founded in 1993 and seeks to bring together a collective voice among the diverse Asian Pacific Islander communities in the US. Through a strategy which combines grassroots community organizing, civic engagement, and policy, APEN works to develop an alternative agenda for environmental, social, and economic justice.

Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII)
The Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII) is a coalition of eleven public health departments in the San Francisco Bay Area of California that work to incorporate principles of health equity into land use and transportation planning, and actively focuses on adaptation planning in Bay Area communities. The coalition includes public health departments in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano and Sonoma Counties, and the City of Berkley, California.

California Climate Change Center (CCCC)
The California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program established the California Climate Change Center (CCCC) in 2003 to document climate change research relevant to the state. The Center was the first state-funded climate change research program in the nation. Its goal was to enhance national and international studies, generating new information that can be used to shape California’s climate change policy. This center operated as a virtual organization with core research activities at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the University of California, San Diego, complemented by efforts at other research institutions.

CIRMOUNT
The Consortium for Integrated Climate Research in Western Mountains (CIRMOUNT) is a collaborative and interdisciplinary research consortium dedicated to understanding climate variability and effects of climate on western North American mountain ecosystems and resources. Participation is open to all interested scientists and natural resource managers. CIRMOUNT seeks to improve knowledge of high-elevation climate systems and to integrate knowledge of mountain ecosystem response to climate change into natural-resource management and policy.

CAT members work to coordinate statewide efforts to implement global warming emission reduction programs and California's Climate Adaptation Strategy. The CAT is comprised of 14 agencies, and is divided into 11 subgroups to assist the Air Board with their scoping plan.

Bureau of Reclamation
Established in 1902, the Bureau of Reclamation is best known for the dams, power plants, reservoirs, and canals it constructed in the 17 western states, including Hoover Dam on the Colorado River and Grand Coulee on the Columbia River. The Bureau of Reclamation is the largest wholesaler of water in the country. They bring water to more than 31 million people, and provide one out of five Western farmers (140,000) with irrigation water for 10 million acres of farmland that produce 60% of the nation's vegetables and 25% of its fruits and nuts.

California Sea Grant
California Sea Grant sponsors marine research, extension services, and education activities to support the management, conservation, and enhancement of coastal resources. The California Sea Grant Extension Program is responding more frequently to questions about how climate change might impact the California coastal environment. Studies on topics such as ocean acidification, changes in sea levels, shifts in upwelling, thermal regime changes and phenology are now among the program's funded activities.

The California State Climate Office collects and interprets climate data for California, and disseminates climate data and information through various means including their website. The California State Climate Office is housed in the California Department of Water Resources' Division of Flood Management.

California State Coastal Conservancy
The California State Coastal Conservancy, established in 1976, is a state agency that uses entrepreneurial techniques to purchase, protect, restore, and enhance coastal resources, and to provide access to the shore - working in partnership with local governments, other public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private landowners. To date, the Conservancy has undertaken more than 1,800 projects along the 1,100 mile California coastline and around San Francisco Bay.
