Pacific Coast Collaborative

On June 30, 2008, the leaders of Alaska, British Columbia, California, Oregon, and Washington signed the Pacific Coast Collaborative Agreement, in which the jurisdictions agreed to align their climate policies and put a price on carbon. The Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC) was established for the Pacific coastal areas in North America to provide a framework for cooperative action, a forum for leadership and the sharing of information on best practices, and a common voice on issues facing coastal and Pacific jurisdictions.

Partnership for Energy Sector Climate Resilience

The Partnership for Energy Sector Climate Resilience is an initiative seeking to improve energy infrastructure resilience to effects of climate change. The Department of Energy provides information and technical assistance to power utility partners who agree to assess climate vulnerabilities and pursue resilience strategies. Another element of the Partnership involves power utilities sharing information from climate resilience activities, and the DOE providing national recognition to these activities.

Pacific RISA, Climate Adaptation Partnership for the Pacific (CAPP)

The Pacific Regional Integrated Science and Assessment (Pacific RISA) program, aka Climate Adaptation Partnership for the Pacific (CAPP), supports Pacific island and coastal communities to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate variability and change. CAPP is striving to enhance Pacific communities' abilities to understand, plan for, and respond to changing climate conditions. This RISA emphasizes the engagement of communities, governments, and businesses in developing effective policies to build resilience in key sectors such as water resource management, coastal and marine resources, fisheries, agriculture, tourism, disaster management and public health.

Pennsylvania Sea Grant

Focused on the Lake Erie and Delaware River watersheds, Pennsylvania Sea Grant promotes the ecological and economic sustainability of Pennsylvania's coastal resources through research and outreach, and facilitates public understanding of environmental resources and issues impacting the states's coastal communities and ecosystems. The program enhances teacher and student environmental literacy and understanding of  coastal ecosystems while also promoting science-based management by expanding statewide applied research projects.

Pennsylvania State Climatologist

The Pennsylvania State Climatologist offers a variety of services to all residents as well as commercial and industrial interests. Reconstruction of weather events, seasonal weather summaries, professional analysis of natural disasters, and archived temperature and precipitation are some of the services provided.   Reestablished in 1994, the state climate office of Pennsylvania is commissioned by the Penn State University College of Earth and Mineral Sciences to serve residents of the Commonwealth.
