Cleveland Climate Action Fund
2015
Cleveland, Ohio was awarded $60,000 through the Partners for Places program, to support the establishment of a model for developing and funding equitable neighborhood climate action projects, that will reduce carbon emissions and help build thriving and healthy communities. The Fund provides free educational climate action workshops and competitive grant opportunities for projects that advance neighborhood priorities while also furthering Cleveland’s climate action goals.

California Senate Bill 1 (SB-1): Transportation Funding
May 1, 2017
In May 2017 California approved Senate Bill 1 which allocated $52.3 billion for a new Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Program, up to $20 billion of which was designated to support climate change adaptation planning at a local or regional level. While the law primarily focuses on reducing emissions, it also addresses the need for adaptation by requiring agencies and localities receiving funding to implement adaptive efforts, where cost-effective and feasible.

California LCC Climate-Smart Conservation Funding
June 2015
The California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) Steering Committee has approved 2015 funding for three "climate-smart" ecosystem process projects totaling $360,000. The focus for FY 2015 funding is to support increased understanding of the impacts of changing hydrologic regimes and processes on species, habitats, and ecosystems that will lead to development of Climate-Smart Conservation actions by natural resource managers.
