The Center for Integrative Environmental Research (CIER) was established in 2006 by the University of Maryland, College Park, as a University-wide Research Center at the School of Public Policy. The Coastal Resources Center at the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island is dedicated to advancing coastal management worldwide.
