Center for American Progress

The Center for American Progress (CAP) is an independent nonpartisan policy institute that is, in their words, "dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans, through bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action." With policy teams in major issue areas, such as energy and environment, CAP seeks to inform the national policy debate and work across disciplines to tackle complex, interrelated topics. As evidenced by the resources included in the Adaptation Clearinghouse, CAP maintains a focus on equity in climate adaptation. Other areas of focus include the role of finance and the economic impacts of climate adaptation.
