Center for Climate Strategies
The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) is a nonpartisan, non-advocacy, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, with the mission to help governments and stakeholders tackle issues of climate, economic, energy and environmental security through development and implementation of consensus-based, innovative, policies, plans, and actions.
CCS provides high-level support for planning, analysis, and implementation of climate, energy, and economic programs in partnership with government and institutional leaders and their stakeholders. They build pathways for integration of sub-national and national programs, including both executive, legislative branch and private sector actions.
CCS helps jurisdictions move from planning to implementation of policy. As part of implementation support, the Center will provide fiscal and economic analysis, legislative and administrative design assistance, program financing alternatives, follow-up negotiations, public-private partnership development, tracking and targeting, federal state policy integration, and information exchange.
CCS develops baseline or inventory and forecast assessments of actual and projected trends for economic, energy, resource and environmental activities to support action planning, assessment, and compliance. State and local baseline assessments are available in CCS' on-line library as well as regional and national baseline assessments.
Since 2004 CCS has worked with over 40 U.S. states and territories, the Border States of Mexico, China's provinces, Guatemala's national government, Ukraine's national government, the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, the Ministry of Environment in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, multiple municipalities in the Philippines, the Puerto Rican Energy Affairs Administration and Department of Natural Resources, dozens of government officials, and over 2,000 stakeholders through high level, high visibility projects to address complex issues and opportunities related to climate change.
