Central Coast Climate Collaborative
The Central Coast Climate Collaborative works to support local and regional community leaders along California’s coast in climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives. It is made up of members from six Central Coast counties including representatives of municipal governments, environmental groups, an interfaith organization, state universities, the state’s Office of Planning and Research and the State Coastal Conservancy.
Resources available on the collaborative’s website cover a wide range of topics, from resilience to a law requiring incorporation of environmental justice concerns into land use plans. Additional resources include presentations on financing resilience, a resilience workbook for local and regional governments, examples of local vulnerability assessments and a vulnerability assessment toolkit.
The Central Coast Climate Collaborative is a member of California's Alliance of Regional Collaboratives for Climate Adaptation.
