U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is a cabinet-level executive department of the U.S. government. It is the primary agency in the federal government with the responsibility for shaping and administering policies and programs to protect and enhance the safety, adequacy, and efficiency of the transportation system and services.

Many climate change related projects and initiatives fall under the DOT's jurisdiction, primarily through the Federal Highway Administration's "Highways and Climate Change" Program (see separate entry). Related resources can also be found in the DOT's "Transportation and CC Clearinghouse" (see separate entry)
