APHA Transportation and Health Toolkit
This toolkit is an attempt to create a common language for use by public health advocates to communicate with transportation officials. Resources in this toolkit provide information on the links between health, equity, and transportation and APHA’s advocacy efforts to ensure that transportation policy helps, rather than hinders, public health.
The toolkit includes training tools for public health professionals to better communicate with transportation industry officials and planners. A power point presentation defines how to create a bridge between the sectors while highlighting the need for mitigating the impacts of transportation on public health. Other resources provided include talking points, outreach materials, and the archived webinar which launched the toolkit. All are available for download on the website.
