The U.S. Drought Monitor is a weekly map of drought conditions based on a composite index of indicators including climatic, hydrologic, and soil moisture measurements. The Monitor is utilized by policymakers and the media to assess drought and allocate relief.
The Drought Impact Reporter maps the effects of drought based on reports from media, observers and other sources. It is searchable by state and county, by category of impact, and by time period.
Links to regional resources, programs, and assessments are also included. These include drought reports, webinars, and information on water supply, among many other resources.
