Southwest Fisheries Science Center - NOAA Fisheries Service
The Southwest Fisheries Science Center is the research arm of NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service in the Southwest Region. Center scientists conduct biological, economic, and oceanographic research on marine resources throughout the Pacific Ocean and in the Southern Ocean off Antarctica, to ensure that these populations remain healthy and at sustainable levels. Responsibilities include maintaining healthy fish stocks for commercial, recreational and subsistence fishing; conserving and recovering populations of protected species; sustaining ecosystem services; and coordinating with domestic and international organizations to implement and monitor fishery agreements and treaties.

Southeast Regional Climate Center
The Southeast Regional Climate Center (SERCC) is one of six regional centers in the U. S. managed by NOAA's National Climatic Data Center. The SERCC is housed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was created in response to an assessment that identified various user needs for regional climate services in the Southeast. The SERCC serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands. The mission of the SERCC is to provide timely, high quality, and pertinent climate data and information to public and private users in the region.

The SECC is a member of NOAA's Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program, which supports climate research for decision-makers and policy planners at a regional level. SECC aims to use advances in climate sciences to provide scientifically sound information and decision support tools for agricultural ecosystems, forests and other terrestrial ecosystems, and coastal ecosystems of the Southeastern USA. Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP) - RISA
Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP) is a member of NOAA's Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program, which supports climate research for decision-makers and policy planners at a regional level. SCIPP represents Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi, investigating major climate hazards of the region. The program provides education and outreach, collaboratively develops an all-hazards assessment tool, and actively engages community-level decision makers to determine hazard planning and climate data gaps.

The Southern Group of State Foresters (SGSF) is a non-profit organization consisting of State Foresters from Alabama, Arkansas, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, U. S. Virgin Islands, and Virginia. SGSF provides leadership in sustaining the economic, environmental and social benefits of the forests of the Southeast, and works to identify and address existing and emerging issues and challenges that are important to southern forests and citizens.

State Climate Office of Ohio
The Office of the State Climatologist for Ohio (OSCO) is housed within the Department of Geography and the Atmospheric Sciences Program in Columbus at the Ohio State University. OSCO strives to acquire, archive, process and disseminate all climate and weather information that is of value to public officials and organizations, corporations, research scientists, and private citizens of the state. At this time the OSCO does not operate or maintain any statewide weather or climate monitoring networks such as is, for example, already done through the National Weather Service, CoCoRaHS, or the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center.
