Department of the Interior (DOI): Plains and Prairie Potholes Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC)
The Plains & Prairie Potholes Landscape Conservation Cooperative (PPP LCC) is one of 21 LCCs established by Secretarial Order No. 3289, which focus on on-the-ground strategic conservation efforts at the landscape level. LCCs are management-science partnerships that inform integrated resource-management actions addressing climate change and other stressors within and across landscapes.

USFS Rocky Mountain Research Station
One of five regional units that make up the U. S. Forest Service (USFS) Research and Development organization, the Rocky Mountain Research Station maintains 14 research locations throughout a 14-state territory encompassing the Great Basin, Southwest, Rocky Mountains and parts of the Great Plains. The station administers and conducts research on 14 experimental forests, ranges and watersheds while maintaining long-term databases for these areas. The station also oversees activities on more than 260 Research Natural Areas and leads ecosystem management and research partnership projects in Arizona, Montana, New Mexico and Nevada.

Western Resource Advocates (WRA)
Western Resource Advocates (WRA) is a non-profit environmental law and policy organization with offices in seven states: Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Idaho. WRA collaborates with conservation groups, hunters and fishermen, ranchers, American Indians, and others to: 1) advance clean energy to reduce pollution and global climate change, 2) promote urban water conservation and river restoration, 3) defend special public lands from energy development and unauthorized off-road vehicle travel, 4) reduce air and water pollution and harmful climate change, 5) protect habitat for threatened, endangered, and sensitive plant and animal species, 6) protect terrestrial, aquatic, and riparian ecosystems, 7) maintain the integrity of public lands, and 8) achieve environmentally sustainable management of energy, land, and water resources.

Western States Water Council (WSWC)
The Western States Water Council is an organization consisting of representatives appointed by the governors of 18 western states. Since its creation, through adoption of a resolution at the Western Governors' Conference in 1965, the Council has striven to fulfill its chartered purposes. The purposes of the Council are: (1) to accomplish effective cooperation among western states in the conservation, development and management of water resources; (2) to maintain vital state prerogatives, while identifying ways to accommodate legitimate federal interests; (3) to provide a forum for the exchange of views, perspectives, and experiences among member states; and (4) to provide analysis of federal and state developments in order to assist member states in evaluating impacts of federal laws and programs and the effectiveness of state laws and policies.

Western Forestry Leadership Coalition
Formally established in 2000, the Western Forestry Leadership Coalition is a partnership between state and federal government forestry leaders in the west. The Coalition is comprised of 34 members including 23 State members, also known as the Council of Western State Foresters, and 11 USDA Forest Service members, including 7 Regional Foresters, 3 USFS Research Station Directors, and a USFS Forest Products Lab Director. The purpose of the Coalition is to address critical resource issues across ownerships and jurisdictions.

Western Governors' Association (WGA)
The Western Governors' Association is an independent, nonprofit organization representing the Governors of 19 states and three US-Flag Pacific islands. Through their Association, the Governors identify and address key policy and governance issues that include natural resources, the environment, human services, economic development, intergovernmental relations and international relations. Governors use the WGA to develop and advocate policies that reflect regional interests and relationships in debates at the national and state levels.

Western Regional Climate Center
The Western Regional Climate Center (WRCC) is one of six regional climate centers in the U. S. managed by NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). The mission of the WRCC is to disseminate high quality climate data and information pertaining to the western United States; foster better use of this information in decision-making; conduct applied research related to climate issues; and improve the coordination of climate-related activities at state, regional and national scales. The WRCC serves as a focal point for coordination of applied climate activities in the West; maintains links to other climate programs such as the NCDC, state climatologists, and other Regional Climate Centers (RCCs); and conducts applied research on climate issues affecting the West.

USGS Montana Water Science Center
The USGS Montana Water Science Center aggregates information on Montana lakes, rivers, and streams. The USGS operates the most extensive satellite network of stream-gaging stations in the State, many of which form the backbone of flood-warning systems. This center provides current real-time data on stream stage and streamflow, water quality, ground water, lakes and reservoirs from over 200 sites in Montana. The center has historical data on streamflow, ground water, water quality, and other water-related information.
