Illinois State Climatologist Office
The Illinois state climatologist promotes the use of climate information in areas crucial for the economic and environmental benefit of Illinois by disseminating climate information, monitoring climate events, conducting applied research, making presentations to community organizations, and talking to individuals and the media. The Illinois state climatologist has extensive records of climate data for the state, including daily temperature, precipitation, and snowfall data for nearly 400 sites, of which 200 are currently active.

Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center
The Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center is one of nine regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) under the Department of the Interior (DOI) managed by the U. S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Climate Adaptation Science Center. CASCs were established under Secretarial Order No. 3289, which called for an expansion of the scope and geographic reach of the DOI's climate-science efforts. CASCs provide scientific information, tools and techniques that land, water, wildlife and cultural resource managers and other interested parties can apply to anticipate, monitor and adapt to climate and ecologically-driven responses at regional-to-local scales.

Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) was founded in 1994 by public school parents who learned about the potential exposure of their children to health risks during school renovations at Joseph E. Gary Elementary in Chicago, Illinois. The mission of LVEJO is to organize within the community to accomplish environmental justice in Chicago's Little Village and achieve the self-determination of immigrant, low-income, and working-class families. Building upon successful clean power, public transit, and open space campaigns, LVEJO remains committed to organizing with those most impacted by industrialization and climate change.
