Florida Sea Grant
Florida Sea Grant research invests in sustaining coastal economies and environments. With stakeholder-driven strategic planning and implementation processes, research focuses on issues of practical importance to Floridians. A state-wide network of extension specialists link objective science outputs with 'in the water' solutions. Florida Sea Grant strategically focuses on aquaculture, biotechnology, coastal hazards, coastal management & policy, ecosystem health, fisheries, and seafood safety with two broad program areas of graduate education and marine education.

USFS Southern Research Station
The Southern Research Station of the U. S. Forest Service (USFS) serves 13 southern states. The station has conducted studies on temperate and tropical forests, forest resources, and forest products. These studies provide a wealth of long-term datasets and conclusions on the dynamics of tree plantations and natural stands, watersheds, and wildlife habitats. Research work units of the SRS, such as the Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center, have ongoing climate change related studies and publications.

USGS Florida Water Science Center
The USGS Florida Water Science Center provides current real-time stream stage and streamflow (558 sites), water-quality (143 sites), and groundwater levels for 222 sites in Florida. The center also has historical data on Florida's streamflow, ground water, water quality, and other historical information. Reports on Florida's hydrology, wetlands, aquifer systems, and other water resource related information are available.

Climate Community of Practice - Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant
The Climate Community of Practice is a group of professionals who aim to incorporate adaptation strategies into Gulf Coast communities’ comprehensive plans, with a goal of establishing a long-term community of climate adaptation practice in the Gulf region. The group was formed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Gulf of Mexico Regional Collaboration Team and the four Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant Programs - bringing together extension, outreach and education professionals and community officials in the Gulf to learn how coastal communities can adapt to climate-related impacts.

Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center
The Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center is one of nine regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) under the Department of the Interior (DOI) managed by the U. S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Climate Adaptation Science Center. The mission of the Centers and National CASC is to "deliver science to help fish, wildlife, water, land, and people adapt to a changing climate. " CASCs provide the tools that managers need to develop and implement strategies that address the impacts of climate change on natural and cultural resources.

Southeast Regional Climate Center
The Southeast Regional Climate Center (SERCC) is one of six regional centers in the U. S. managed by NOAA's National Climatic Data Center. The SERCC is housed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was created in response to an assessment that identified various user needs for regional climate services in the Southeast. The SERCC serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands. The mission of the SERCC is to provide timely, high quality, and pertinent climate data and information to public and private users in the region.

Southeastern Climate Consortium (SECC) - RISA
The SECC is a member of NOAA's Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program, which supports climate research for decision-makers and policy planners at a regional level. SECC aims to use advances in climate sciences to provide scientifically sound information and decision support tools for agricultural ecosystems, forests and other terrestrial ecosystems, and coastal ecosystems of the Southeastern USA. The Southern Group of State Foresters (SGSF) is a non-profit organization consisting of State Foresters from Alabama, Arkansas, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, U. S. Virgin Islands, and Virginia. SGSF provides leadership in sustaining the economic, environmental and social benefits of the forests of the Southeast, and works to identify and address existing and emerging issues and challenges that are important to southern forests and citizens.
