American Planning Association (APA)

The American Planning Association (APA), with 38,000 members in more than 100 countries, is a professional association that represents urban planning professionals in the United States.  The APA serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas related to urban planning and its Web site provides access to numerous resources related to climate change and its impacts in urban environments.   Through its Hazard Planning Center, APA offers information on practices to promote resilience and reduce regional and local impacts of natural disasters.
