Movement Strategy Center
The Movement Strategy Center engages traditionally marginalized populations and their leaders in building an ecosystem of grassroots organizations that share values, respond to community needs, advance policy solutions, and transform lives. The Center is strengthening the capabilities of an emerging network of leaders, experts, and organizations to advance a socially-just climate-resilience framework, influence the broader conversation on climate change, and accelerate community-driven approaches to municipal and regional climate-planning processes.
The Movement Strategy Center believes that incremental changes will not sufficiently address climate change and growing inequality. Therefore, their approach pushes for transformative strategies that acknowledge that issues and problems are interconnected through systems. This involves leading with vision and purpose, embodying a new set of values, building relationships through deep listening, and aligning various approaches into collective strategies.
