Rocky Mountain Climate Organization
The Rocky Mountain Climate Organization (RMCO) works to keep the West a special place by reducing climate disruption and its effects. The organization's mission includes bringing people together to develop solutions, build consensus, and achieve results; spreading the word about what climate disruption can do and what can be done about it; and working to adapt to the changes that will be faced.
The organization focuses primarily on the eight-state interior West, with an initial emphasis on its home state of Colorado. Much of RMCO's work focuses on the interior West's greatest vulnerability to a climate change - the impacts on water resources - and what can be done to meet the region's growing water needs in the face of that challenge. Thus, much of RMCO's work is particularly well-suited for water resource managers.
