The Resource Innovation Group
The Resource Innovation Group (TRIG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization affiliated with the Center for Sustainable Communities at Willamette University. TRIG’s mission is to foster the development and application of innovative thinking and approaches to complex social-ecological problems, including global climate change. TRIG's approach combines systems thinking with the physical and social sciences, social equity, and change management. They organize, facilitate and work through partnerships with academic institutions, non-profits, private firms, and all levels of government.

The center also has numerous publications, data sheets, projects, and scientific reports on a range of hydrological topics. The USGS operates the most extensive satellite network of stream-gaging stations in the state, many of which form the backbone of flood-warning systems.

The Utah Climate Action Network is a partnership between government, research institutions, non-profits/foundations, faith-based organizations, the private sector, and individuals that was established in 2016 to address climate change in Utah. The convening organizations are Salt Lake City, Park City, Salt Lake County Health Department, University of Utah and Alta Ski area. The Network focuses both on reducing emissions and enhancing climate resiliency.
