North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center
The North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center is one of nine regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) under the Department of the Interior (DOI) managed by the U. S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Climate Adaptation Science Center. The mission of the Centers and National CASC is to "deliver science to help fish, wildlife, water, land, and people adapt to a changing climate. " CASCs provide the tools that managers need to develop and execute management strategies that address the impacts of climate change on natural and cultural resources.

Northeast Climate Impacts Assessment (NECIA)
The Northeast Climate Impacts Assessment (NECIA) is a collaboration between the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and a team of more than fifty independent experts to develop and communicate a new assessment of climate change, impacts on climate-sensitive sectors, and solutions in the northeastern United States. Launched in May, 2005, the goal of the assessment is to combine state-of-the-art analyses with effective outreach to provide policymakers, opinion leaders, and the public with the best available science upon which to base informed choices about climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Northeast Indigenous Climate Resilience Network
The Northeast Indigenous Climate Resilience Network seeks to “convene Indigenous peoples to identify threats to Indigenous self-determination and ways of life and to formulate adaptation and mitigation strategies, dialogues and educational programs that build Indigenous capacities to address climate-related issues. ” The Network’s website provides tools and resources to support climate change adaptation and resilience planning, including literature, funding opportunities, projects and events.

Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS)
The Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS) is a collaboration between the U. S. Forest Service, universities, and forest managers to provide ecological, economic, and social information that can be used to facilitate the development and implementation of forest carbon management. Additionally, they provide climate science research to meet information needs of land owners and managers, policymakers, and the public and to help determine how the forests' ecosystem services will be effected by climate change.

Northeast Regional Climate Center
The Northeast Regional Climate Center (NRCC) is one of six regional climate centers in the U. S. managed by NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). Established in 1983, the NRCC is located in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University. It serves the 12-state region that includes: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia. The mission of the NRCC is to facilitate and enhance the collection, dissemination and use of climate data and information, as well as to monitor and assess climatic conditions and impacts in the twelve-state, northeastern region of the U.

North Dakota State Climate Office
The mission of the North Dakota State Climate Office (NDSCO) is to advance the use of climate information for the economic and environmental benefit of North Dakota and the public safety of its citizens, through climate monitoring, research, education, and extension and information services. The NDSCO provides the public with a multitude of resources on weather data, weather data summaries, climate summaries, and climate reports. The climate summaries and reports provided use data collected by the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network and the National Weather Service.

Founded in 1978, Communities for a Better Environment (CBE) seeks to build the power of California’s communities of color and low-income people to achieve environmental health and justice by preventing and reducing pollution and building green, healthy, and sustainable communities and environments. CBE provides residents in blighted and heavily polluted urban communities in California with organizing skills, leadership training, and legal, scientific, and technical assistance, so that they can successfully confront threats to their health and well-being.

Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB)
The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) was created more than 75 years ago to provide policy direction on water issues. The agency maintains expertise in a broad range of programs and provides technical assistance to further the utilization of Colorado's waters. The CWCB's responsibilities range from protecting Colorado's streams and lakes to water conservation, flood mitigation, watershed protection, stream restoration, drought planning, water supply planning, and water project financing.

Colorado Climate Center
The Colorado Climate Center was established by the state in 1974, through the Colorado State University Agricultural Experiment Station, to provide information and expertise on Colorado's complex climate. The Center is located at Colorado State University within the Department of Atmospheric Science, in the College of Engineering. Through its threefold program of Climate Monitoring (data acquisition, analysis, and archiving), Climate Research and Climate Services, the Center - housing the State Climatologist - responds to climate related questions and problems affecting the state today.
