Northwest Fisheries Science Center- NOAA Fisheries Service
NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center studies living marine resources (e. g. , salmon, groundfish, and killer whales) and their habitats in the Northeast Pacific Ocean-primarily off the coasts of Washington and Oregon and in freshwater rivers and streams in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. The Center seeks to better understand living marine resources and their ecosystems to assist resource managers in making sound decisions that build sustainable fisheries, recover endangered and threatened species, and sustain healthy ecosystems, and reduce human health risks.

Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia Law School
The Sabin Center develops legal techniques to fight climate change, trains students and lawyers in their use, and provides up-to-date resources on key topics in climate change law and regulation. The Center works with the scientists at Columbia University’s Earth Institute and with governmental, non-governmental and academic organizations. With regard to climate change adaptation, the Sabin Center “looks for ways that existing laws and regulations can be used to prompt short- and longer-term adaptation efforts at all levels of government and by private actors as well.

Rhode Island Sea Grant
Rhode Island Sea Grant is located at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, and funds research at other institutions throughout the state. It is also home to one of only four Sea Grant Legal Programs in the country, and the only one in the Northeast, located at Roger Williams University School of Law. Rhode Island Sea Grant funds research that addresses coastal ecosystem and fisheries issues. Research goals include: characterizing and quantifying dynamics of change in coastal ecosystems; improving understanding of effects of contaminants on coastal ecosystems; developing techniques and indicators to characterize the sources, pathways, and effects of nutrients, toxins, and biocontaminants; exploring links between ecosystem-based management and fisheries management; determining industry and consumer seafood priorities; and increasing knowledge of biology and ecology of valuable species.

The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative is a network for public agencies that serve the San Diego region to share expertise, leverage resources, and advance comprehensive solutions to facilitate climate change planning. They support regional solutions by coordinating strategies and resources, providing trainings and workshops, and facilitating networking across the region. The Climate Collaborative was founded in 2012 with funding from San Diego Gas & Electric’s Local Government Energy Efficiency Partnership Programs and The San Diego Foundation.

San Francisco Bay and Outer Coast Sentinel Site Cooperative
The San Francisco Bay and Outer Coast Sentinel Site Cooperative, one of five NOAA Cooperatives in the nation, is focused on enhancing the capacity of communities in the San Francisco Bay Area of California to adapt to sea level rise and coastal flooding issues. The collaboration is a partnership of federal, state, and local representatives from NOAA's Office for Coastal Management, the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, NOAA's Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, and California Sea Grant.

The San Francisco Estuary Partnership is a coalition of resource agencies, non-profits, citizens, and scientists working to protect, restore, and enhance water quality and fish and wildlife habitat in and around the San Francisco Bay Delta Estuary. The Partnership shares information and resources that result in studies, projects, and programs that improve the Estuary and communicate its value and needs to the public. The Association of Bay Area Governments is the home agency for Partnership staff and finances.

The Wilderness Society is a leading conservation organization working to protect the nation's public lands, the 635 million acres collectively owned by the American people and managed by our government. Since its founding in 1935, The Society has led the effort to permanently protect as designated Wilderness nearly 110 million acres in 44 states. They work strategically and collaboratively with land managers, decision makers, and other interested citizens to find common-ground solutions.

The Wildlife Society (TWS), founded in 1937, is an international, non-profit, scientific and educational association dedicated to wildlife stewardship. Their mission is "to enhance the ability of wildlife professionals to conserve biodiversity, sustain productivity, and ensure responsible use of wildlife resources for the benefit of society. " The Wildlife Society encourages professional growth through certification, peer-reviewed publications, conferences, and working groups. TWS 'sections' are regional networks of The Wildlife Society in North America and encompass several states or provinces.
