Climate Ready Estuaries
The Climate Ready Estuaries program is a partnership between the U. S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Estuary Programs (NEPs) to address climate change in coastal areas. This effort, initiated in 2008, brings together EPA's Oceans and Coastal Protection Division and Climate Change Division. The purpose of Climate Ready Estuaries is to assist NEPs and coastal communities in becoming "climate ready" by providing tools and assistance to assess climate change vulnerability and plan for adaptation.

Local Government Climate Change Adaptation Toolkit
2008
The Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) Adaptation Initiative in Australia has focused on planning for the impacts of climate change by developing local councils’ capacities to apply a risk management process. The objective of the CCP Adaptation Initiative in its first year was to examine internal processes that these councils rely upon to make decisions related to complex data used in climate change projections and scenarios. The result of the first year’s work by the initiative is this toolkit.

Transportation Planning, Climate Change, and Decision making Under Uncertainty
2008
This report discusses ways that the uncertainty created by climate change and its impacts can be incorporated into long-range transportation planning. The paper examines how departments of transportation (DOTs) forecast travel demand for planning purposes, and it suggests several frameworks (i.e. scenario planning and adaptive management) that can be used to incorporate uncertain climate change impacts into these planning processes.

City of Tucson, Arizona 2008 Update to Water Plan: 2000-2050
2008
Tucson, Arizona's Water Plan: 2000-2050 was issued by the City of Tucson's Water Department (Tucson Water) in 2004. In this 2008 update, the substantive issues and challenges to ensuring a secure water future remain largely the same (they are detailed in the 2004 Water Plan). However, the planning time frames within which to address these challenges have changed and are discussed in this update. This update also accounts for revised population projections that have since been developed, an increase in the city's Central Arizona Project allocation, and changed planning assumptions and priorities that evolved in the last three years.
