ADAPTool (Adaptive Design and Assessment Policy Tool)
From the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), this policy self-assessment tool is designed to help policy-makers take stock of a suite of existing policies and programs that are being implemented to help stakeholders deal with a specific stressor (i. e. , changing physical climate, or market pricing shocks). ADAPTool is a Microsoft Excel workbook-based program, and takes the policy analyst through a series of questions to: (i) better define the vulnerability of specific economic sectors to a stressor; (ii) assess the ability of a suite of programs and policies to contribute to necessary adaptation actions and stakeholder adaptive capacity; and (iii) gauge the ability of the suite of programs and policies to address unanticipated stakeholder needs.

Community Climate System Model/Community Earth System Model (CCSM/CSEM)
The Community Earth System Model (CESM), which grew out of the former Community Climate System Model (CCSM), is a fully-coupled, global climate model that provides state-of-the-art computer simulations of the Earth's past, present, and future climate states. The CCSM has often been used by decision-makers in creating informed adaptation plans, and the CESM continues to improve on previous capabilities.

Aquarius: A Modeling System for River Basin Water Allocation
Aquarius is a software application developed by the Rocky Mountain Research Station of the U. S Forest Service and Colorado State University. The modeling system depicts the temporal and spatial allocation of water flows among competing traditional and nontraditional water uses in a river basin. The program can be used to determine economically efficient water destination strategies by systematically examining, using a nonlinear optimization technique, the feasibility of reallocating unused or marginally valuable water storage and releases in favor of alternative uses.

The Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) GeoPlatform website provides access to federally-maintained data and resources related to coastal flooding, sea level rise, and their impacts. Northern Hemisphere EASE-Grid Weekly Snow Cover and Sea Ice Extent
This dataset, produced by NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory, combines snow cover and sea ice extent at weekly intervals for October 1978 through August 1995, and snow cover only for January 1971 through October 1978. (Sea ice data was not available prior to October 23, 1978. ) This dataset also includes monthly climatologies describing average extent, probability of occurrence, and variance. The data are provided in a 25 km grid, in an azimuthal, equal area projection (the NSIDC NL EASE-Grid).

From NOAA's Office for Coastal Management, this website provides the capability to view flood exposure by county for U. S ocean and Great Lakes coasts. Snapshots detail a county's demographic, infrastructure and environment within the flood zone. The Coastal County Snapshots provide “snapshots” or short reports on the topics of a county’s: Flood Exposure, Ocean Jobs or Wetland Benefits. The snapshots offer county-level facts, and easy-to-understand charts and graphs that describe complex coastal data.
