Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is an environmental action group with approximately 1.3 million members and more than 350 lawyers, scientists, and other professionals. The NRDC has six stated priorities: 1) Curbing global warming and creating the clean energy future, 2) Reviving the world's oceans, 3) Defending endangered wildlife and wild places, 4) Protecting our health by preventing pollution, 5) Ensuring safe and sufficient water, and 6) Fostering sustainable communities. NRDC's global warming site provides information on the causes and effects of global climate change, and offers personal, corporate, scientific, and legislative solutions to the problem.
