Western Forestry Leadership Coalition
Formally established in 2000, the Western Forestry Leadership Coalition is a partnership between state and federal government forestry leaders in the west. The Coalition is comprised of 34 members including 23 State members, also known as the Council of Western State Foresters, and 11 USDA Forest Service members, including 7 Regional Foresters, 3 USFS Research Station Directors, and a USFS Forest Products Lab Director. The purpose of the Coalition is to address critical resource issues across ownerships and jurisdictions.

Western Governors' Association (WGA)
The Western Governors' Association is an independent, nonprofit organization representing the Governors of 19 states and three US-Flag Pacific islands. Through their Association, the Governors identify and address key policy and governance issues that include natural resources, the environment, human services, economic development, intergovernmental relations and international relations. Governors use the WGA to develop and advocate policies that reflect regional interests and relationships in debates at the national and state levels.

Colorado Communities for Climate Action
Colorado Communities for Climate Action is a coalition of 34 local governments across the state advocating for stronger state and federal climate policy. The coalition was launched in 2017, with support from the Rocky Mountain Climate Organization. The coalition recognizes that their local government members "have a unique perspective on the threats and challenges that climate change poses" and that meeting local climate goals requires effective state and federal policy.

Rocky Mountain Climate Organization
The Rocky Mountain Climate Organization (RMCO) works to keep the West a special place by reducing climate disruption and its effects. The organization's mission includes bringing people together to develop solutions, build consensus, and achieve results; spreading the word about what climate disruption can do and what can be done about it; and working to adapt to the changes that will be faced.

U.S. Forest Service Western Wildland Environmental Threat Assessment Center (WWETAC)
The Western Wildland Environmental Threat Assessment Center (WWETAC) is a unit of the Pacific Northwest Research Station. The Center was created to predict, detect, and assess existing and potential environmental threats to western wildlands. Information will be developed and shared about forest impacts such as invasive plants, potential insect outbreaks, the appearance of invasive insect threats, the appearance of new pathogens (such as sudden oak death), and other threats. There are many WWETAC climate change related research projects, impact assessments, modeling tools, short courses, as well as affiliated workshops available on their website.

Denver Water is the water utility serving the City and County of Denver, Colorado and a member of Water Utility Climate Alliance. Website presents climate-related priorities that relate to current water supply projects and integrated resource plan in response to uncertain future conditions.

Western Water Assessment's Intermountain West Climate Summary
The Western Water Assessment's (WWA) Intermountain West Climate Summary (IWCS) provided the latest climate information for Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming in a simple compact document aimed at water managers, planners and policy makers with water-related interests. These summaries were released approximately eight times annually starting in 2005, before the IWCS was discontinued in 2012.

Colorado Climate Preparedness Project Adaptation Database
The Colorado Climate Preparedness Project (CCPP) was initiated to to assist Colorado in continuing to prepare itself for climate variability and change by providing a catalog of climate vulnerabilities and current adaptation activities in the state. The project focuses on five key sectors that were identified by the state advisory team as particularly sensitive to the impacts of climate variability and change including: Water; Wildlife, ecosystems and forests; Electricity; Agriculture; and Climate-sensitive tourism and outdoor recreation.

An initiative of CU-Boulder's Office for University Outreach in the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, LearnMoreAboutClimate.colorado.edu seeks to 1) extend the University's vast scientific expertise to raise awareness about climate change; 2) inspire an informed dialogue about climate change among Coloradans; and 3) encourage Coloradans to make lifestyle changes that contribute to the health of our state and planet.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Snow Survey and Water Supply Forecasting
The Snow Survey and Water Supply Forecasting program provides western states and Alaska with information on future water supplies (January - June for the current year). USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service field staff collect and analyze data on depth and water equivalent of the snowpack at more than 1,200 mountain sites and estimate annual water availability, spring runoff, and summer streamflows. Individuals, organizations, and state and federal agencies use these forecasts for decisions relating to agricultural production, fish and wildlife management, municipal and industrial water supply, urban development, flood control, recreation power generation, and water quality management.
