Climate Change and Wildlife Alliance - Massachusetts

The mission of the Climate Change and Wildlife Alliance is "to promote and facilitate the dissemination of climate-related impacts and adaptation information, to advocate for the development and implementation of science-based adaptation strategies to conserve Massachusetts' ecosystems and the array of services they provide in the face of climate change, and to engage in partnerships, communications and policy venues that enhance attention, planning, policy and funding for wildlife resiliency.

Climate Change Collaboration in the Pacific Northwest (C3)

C3 is a regional forum of agency and science center climate change coordinators and leaders, representing federal and regional efforts in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon and Idaho).   The forum provides information exchange and enhances collaboration across several Departmental efforts, science centers and agencies at a broad scale, helping to bridge each organizations’ connection to the multiple efforts that are underway. These efforts include federal agencies’ research and management activities, the DOI Climate Science Center, three Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs) in the Pacific Northwest, the NOAA-funded (RISA) Climate Decision Support Consortium (CDSC), and the numerous other programs and activities of the universities in the Pacific Northwest.

Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is a local community development funding intermediary that has invested in community revitalization work in Greater Cleveland, Ohio, since 1988. Its mission is to foster inclusive communities of choice and opportunity throughout Cleveland, and its primary goals include pursuing racial equity, place-making, economic opportunity, support for high-capacity community development corporations, and climate resiliency.

MG describes itself as being "rooted in vibrant social movements led by low-income communities and communities of color committed to a Just Transition away from profit and pollution and towards healthy, resilient and life-affirming local economies."

The Movement Strategy Center engages traditionally marginalized populations and their leaders in building an ecosystem of grassroots organizations that share values, respond to community needs, advance policy solutions, and transform lives. The Center is strengthening the capabilities of an emerging network of leaders, experts, and organizations to advance a socially-just climate-resilience framework, influence the broader conversation on climate change, and accelerate community-driven approaches to municipal and regional climate-planning processes.

Climate Community of Practice - Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant

The Climate Community of Practice is a group of professionals who aim to incorporate adaptation strategies into Gulf Coast communities’ comprehensive plans, with a goal of establishing a long-term community of climate adaptation practice in the Gulf region. The group was formed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Gulf of Mexico Regional Collaboration Team and the four Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant Programs - bringing together extension, outreach and education professionals and community officials in the Gulf to learn how coastal communities can adapt to climate-related impacts.

Climate Access

Climate Access is a nonprofit organization building political and public support for climate solutions through their learning network of climate leaders, pilot engagement projects and strategic services.  They translate research into easy to use tips and tools on climate engagement; track and share best practices; promote problem solving, run a learning network for more than 3,000 members from nonprofits, government, academia and community based organizations; develop and pilot new engagement models; and provide technical services to help organizations implement effective engagement strategies.

National Estuarine Research Reserve System

The National Estuarine Research Reserve System is a federal-state partnership. The federal government provides funding and administers the system, but the sites are managed on a day to day basis by state agencies, universities and other local partners. The Reserve System has identified climate change and its impacts as strategic priorities, and is developing an initiative with key actions to address climate change adaptation, mitigation, and to promote resilience of estuary ecosystems.

National Farmers Union Climate Leaders

The National Farmers Union (NFU) Climate Leaders is a community of farmers, ranchers, educators, policy makers, journalists and citizens that are focusing on the threats posed to agriculture and food security by climate change, and finding collective solutions. The union Climate Leaders intend to spread awareness about climate change impacts on farmers, what they need to know and what they can do about climate change. The mission of the NFU is to advocate for the economic and social well-being, and quality of life of family farmers, ranchers, fishermen and consumers and their communities through education, cooperation and legislation.
