Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program
The Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) program (CFDA Number: 97. 047) provides funding to support states, territories, Indian tribal governments, communities, and universities for hazard mitigation planning and the implementation of mitigation projects prior to a disaster event. This program promotes implementation of activities designed to reduce injuries, loss of life, and damage and destruction to property from natural hazards. PDM grants are to be awarded on a competitive basis and without reference to state allocations, quotas, or other formula-based allocation of funds.

Planning and Facilitating Collaborative Meetings (NOAA Training)
Provided by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, this two-day instructor-led course is designed to increase participants’ ability to plan and facilitate a meeting (or a series of meetings) that minimize conflict and enhance problem solving. Collaboration is often cited as a good way to address coastal resource management issues, but the collaborative process is complicated, requiring a systematic approach. This course provides the skills and tools to design and implement collaborative approaches.

Regional Wetland Program Development Grants assist State, Tribal, and local government agencies, as well as interstate/intertribal entities in building programs which protect, manage, and restore wetlands. Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI) Climate Working Group created and maintains regional, down-scaled global climate models to demonstrate how Wisconsin's climate has been changing and project how it might change in the years to come. A number of methods have been developed to derive detailed regional and local climate data in order to evaluate the potential impacts of climate change by incorporating landscape features, water bodies, or other characteristics that may influence regional or local climate into global models.

CanVis is a visualization program used to "see" potential impacts from coastal development or sea-level rise. The software allows users to download background pictures and insert objects like hotels, houses, and marinas, and adjust sea level to observe impacts of sea level rise on coastal development. The software is used by municipalities to brainstorm new ideas and policies, undertake project planning, and make presentations. .

Maryland Coastal Atlas
The Coastal Atlas is an online mapping and planning tool that allows state and local decision-makers to visually analyze and explore data for coastal and ocean planning activities. The site provides shoreline mapping data for shoreline and flood planning in Maryland. The maps are based on erosion, storm inundation and sea level rise data developed from fifty years of observations, and display future shoreline positions up to fifty years in the future. The data available through the Coastal Atlas includes physical characteristics, human uses and ecological resources.
