Rural Climate Network
The Rural Climate Network is focused on resolving the social and ecological inequities of rural communities, while also empowering these communities to adapt to and mitigate climate change. Members of this network collaborate and share best practices for managing climate change impacts - between agriculture, forestry, and other natural resource dependent communities. This work then connects rural leaders in order to build local climate policy, and work with state and national policy development in order to create ecological and economic resilience.

Rhode Island Climate Change Collaborative
Researchers from the University of Rhode Island (URI) and the Rhode Island Sea Grant have joined forces to form the Rhode Island Climate Change Collaborative - linking experts in natural science, behavior science and communications to collectively engage in research and outreach to prepare Rhode Islanders and build resilient communities. This research collaborative project was funded by Rhode Island Sea Grant and the URI Coastal Institute and involves Rhode Island Sea Grant Extension, the URI Coastal Resources Center, the URI Coastal Institute, the URI Cancer Prevention Research Center, and the URI Harrington School of Communications.

Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center
The Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center is one of nine regional Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) under the Department of the Interior (DOI) managed by the U. S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Climate Adaptation Science Center. The mission of the Centers and National CASC is to "deliver science to help fish, wildlife, water, land, and people adapt to a changing climate. " CASCs provide the tools that managers need to develop and execute management strategies that address the impacts of climate change on natural and cultural resources.
