The Kresge Foundation Climate Resilient and Equitable Water Systems (CREWS) Initiative
2017
Climate Resilient and Equitable Water Systems (CREWS) consists of 24 nonprofits - Kresge Foundation grantees - who are building solutions for low-income communities in U. S. cities to adapt to climate enhanced storm and flood impacts. CREWS programs are transforming urban stormwater and wastewater systems with climate resilient integrated water-management practices and socially equitable solutions. CREWS is an initiative of the Kresge Foundation’s Environment Program, focused on climate resilience through adaptation, mitigation, and social justice.

Boston Climate Preparedness Planning Initiative
August 20, 2015
The Boston Climate Preparedness Planning Initiative is a joint project of the City of Boston, the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Boston Green Ribbon Commission. Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced on August 20, 2015 that the City of Boston has received $350,000 in funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support the Initiative. The grant is a part of the state's Office of Coastal Zone Management's Coastal Community Resilience Grant Program.

This analysis from the NJ Climate Adaptation Alliance (NJCAA) identifies adaptation programs and policies of states in the Mid-Atlantic region with an emphasis on coastal resources and risks. The report compares enacted legislative and administrative changes to agency programs in order to account for coastal impacts from climate change - that are consistent with one or more of the individual recommendations proposed by the NJCAA in Preparing New Jersey for Climate Change: Policy Considerations from the New Jersey Climate Adaptation Alliance.

Report from the National Climate Adaptation Summit
September 29, 2010
This report summarizes the priorities and conclusions of the National Climate Adaptation Summit, which was convened by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in May 2010. The goal of the Summit was to inform climate adaptation planning at the local, state, regional and federal levels and within the public and private sectors, including efforts by the Interagency Climate Change Adaptation Task Force and the U. S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP). This report transmits the key findings, conclusions, and near-term priorities derived from the Summit, and offers these as inputs to broader federal efforts in climate adaptation, assessment, research, services, and related planning.

Oregon's Final Report to the Governor - A Framework for Addressing Rapid Climate Change
January 2008
The state's Climate Change Integration Group (CCIG), through this report created in 2008, started the development of a framework to assist individuals, businesses, and governments in the state to incorporate climate change into their planning processes, based on observed impacts, and human and economic threats. The report is organized in 4 parts: 1) Preparation and Adaptation, 2) Mitigation, 3) Education and Outreach, and 4) Research, with a synthesis of key recommendations at the beginning. The Adaptation section largely defers to the Global Warming Commission, the anticipated successor group to the CCIG, and indicates that more work is needed to develop action strategies around preparation and adaptation.

Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES)
The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) is the successor organization to the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. For the last decade, the Pew Center was a non-partisan leader in providing climate science, impacts, technological solutions, and policy analysis to address global climate change. Under the new name, and with additional funding sources from the private sector, C2ES continues the same work with a focus on clean energy solutions and climate change mitigation and adaptation.

PG&E Better Together Resilient Communities Grant Program
March 1, 2018
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Better Together Resilient Communities grant program funds initiatives to help California communities better prepare for, withstand, and recover from extreme weather events and other risks related to climate change. PG&E is investing $2 million over five years in shareholder-funded grants. In 2018, PG&E focused on projects to help communities prepare for increased frequency and severity of extreme heat events, and the 2019 Resilient Communities grant program focused on wildfire risk.

The Colorado Resiliency Framework, first published in 2015 and updated in 2020 by the Colorado Resiliency and Recovery Office, identifies strategies to strengthen and increase resilience to hazards throughout Colorado. The framework establishes an updated vision for resilience in the state: “Colorado creatively implements forward-thinking solutions that are sustainable and resilient to changing conditions and result in strong, equitable communities that can adapt to and thrive in the face of adversity.
