The National Sea Grant College Program is a nationwide network (administered through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), of 32 university-based programs that work with coastal communities. Sea Grant engages this network of the nation's top universities in conducting scientific research, education, training, and extension projects designed to foster science-based decisions about the use and conservation of aquatic resources.

The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is America's largest conservation organization, working with more than 4 million members, partners and supporters in communities across the country to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront global warming and connect with nature. NWF works to improve federal and state policies that will support wildlife conservation on hundreds of millions of acres of public, tribal and private lands, including thousands of miles of streams, rivers, lakes and coastlines across America.

Originally established by Congress in 1935 as the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), NRCS has expanded to become a conservation leader for all natural resources, ensuring private lands are conserved, restored, and more resilient to environmental challenges, like climate change. NRCS works with landowners through conservation planning and assistance designed to benefit the resources that result in productive lands and healthy ecosystems. NRCS experts from many disciplines come together to help landowners conserve natural resources in efficient, smart and sustainable ways.

NatureServe and its network of natural heritage programs are the leading source for information about rare and endangered species and threatened ecosystems. NatureServe represents an international network of biological inventories-known as natural heritage programs or conservation data centers-operating in all 50 U. S. states, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The New Hampshire Sea Grant (NH Sea Grant) provides support, leadership and expertise for marine research, education and extension, and promotes the understanding, development, wise use and conservation of our ocean and coastal resources. NH Sea Grant research falls into four general areas: 1) Conservation and sustainable utilization of fisheries resources; 2) Sustainable aquaculture; 3) Coastal ecosystem and public health, and 4) Coastal communities and economics.

The New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium (NJSGC) serves the state and the region by developing programs designed to resolve coastal issues, develop marine technology, formulate science-based policy, and improve science literacy among its citizens. Member Institutions of the NJSGC are colleges, universities and other groups with expertise in marine, coastal and/or estuarine science and an interest in New Jersey’s marine, coastal and/or estuarine affairs. Collectively the group works to advance knowledge and wise-utilization of New Jersey’s marine and coastal resources and make a positive impact on marine and coastal policy throughout the region.

New York Sea Grant (NYSG) is a statewide network of integrated research, education, and extension services promoting the wise use and protection of marine and Great Lakes resources. NYSG is a cooperative program of the State University of New York (SUNY) and Cornell University, with administrative offices at Stony Brook University's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, extension administration in Ithaca and extension staff in Riverhead, Stony Brook, New York City, Kingston, Oswego, Brockport and Buffalo.

NABCI fosters collaboration on key issues of concern, including bird monitoring, conservation design, private lands, international objectives, and state and federal agency support for integrated bird conservation. NABCI's goal is to deliver the full spectrum of bird conservation through regionally based, biologically driven, landscape-oriented partnerships - to secure the future for North America's more than 1,150 species of birds.
