Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) scientists are studying climate as it influences plants, animals, ecosystems, disturbance patterns, and social and economic systems. This research supports land management and planning needs for addressing climate change. The purpose of this document is to provide RMRS employees, partners, and clients with a sense of the Station’s niche, capabilities, and role in climate change research and science delivery.

This document is the second annual progress report on King County's 2007 Climate Plan, providing activities the County is undertaking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to anticipate and adapt to projected climate change impacts. The report's adaptation highlights include a training program for coastal managers and planners on how to prepare for climate change, the rebuilding of the regional levee system, the completion of the Reclaimed Water Feasibility Study, the initiation of a reclaimed water plan, the development of a Vulnerable Facilities Inventory for sea-level rise impacts to wastewater treatment infrastructure, and the completion of the 2008 King County Biodiversity Report.

The New Mexico Climate Change Adaptation Project of the Nature Conservancy produced this vulnerability assessment in two parts: Part I - "Implications of Recent Climate Change on Conservation Priorities in New Mexico" and Part II - "Conservation Implications of Emerging Moisture Stress due to Recent Climate Changes in New Mexico." Part one is a state-wide assessment of the climate change vulnerability of priority habitats and wildlife species.

This report, from the Wildlife Habitat Policy Research Program (WHPRP) and the USFS Rocky Mountain Research Station, was created as guidance for state agencies to effectively factor climate change into their State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs). The primary objective of this project was to develop methods and analyses to provide to state wildlife agencies with information on the magnitude of projected impacts of climate change on terrestrial wildlife habitats and viable options for minimizing those impacts.

This report, a collaborative effort between the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and a group of independent experts, analyzes climate change-related impacts on key sectors in the state of Pennsylvania. This report summarizes how Pennsylvania's twenty-first century climate is projected to change under two different scenarios, or possible futures, of continued human-caused emissions of heat-trapping gases. These scenarios are used in climate models to assess future changes in many sectors across the state.

This report outlines the accelerating changes in climate that may occur over the coming century, and assesses the projected climate impacts on Chicago's public health system, water resources, natural ecosystems, infrastructure and more. The results of this analysis demonstrate the significance of emissions choices, and how these choices will determine the magnitude of the climate change impacts on Chicago.
