The report was developed by Columbus Water Works, under an assistance agreement awarded by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in support of their Columbus Biosolids Flow-Through Thermophilic Treatment National Demonstration Project. The report examines common combined heat and power (CHP) technologies for converting anaerobic digester gas to electrical power and produce heat. The document includes technical and cost information to assist users in considering using more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective wastewater treatment and in-plant wet weather management technologies.

The City of Flagstaff, Arizona completed a study that assesses 115 of the City’s critical operations that have been impacted by climate. Conducted by a team of City staff and regional partners (the "Core Team"), the study recommends an overarching policy aimed to increase protection and resilience within municipal operations to hazards - including fire, severe winter storms, drought, floods, and more.

California’s 2012 Bioenergy Action Plan outlines strategies, goals, objectives, and actions that state agencies will take to increase bioenergy development in California. The plan builds upon the state’s 2006 and 2011 Bioenergy Action Plans. These plans were developed with input from the Bioenergy Interagency Working Group, the California Biomass Collaborative and stakeholders and other public comments. An in-depth status report on bioenergy development and analysis of the issues are contained within the 2011 Bioenergy Action Plan, which was adopted by the California Energy Commission in March 2011.

This Climate Action Plan for the City of San Luis Obispo (SLO), California describes the measures be taken to meet the city’s adopted GHG emissions reduction target of 1990 levels by 2020, which is consistent with California AB 32. Climate adaptation is addressed throughout the plan as well, with strategies that complement the mitigation measures across many focal sectors.

The '2012 Vulnerability and Adaptation Study' is California's third major assessment on climate change. California produces periodic scientific assessments on the potential impacts of climate change on the state, and reports potential adaptation responses. Required by Executive Order #S-03-05, these assessments influence legislation and inform policy makers. The Third California Climate Change Assessment is a compilation of 37 reports which outline local and statewide vulnerabilities to climate change, for the energy, water, agriculture, public health, coastal, transportation, and ecological resource sectors.

This guide has been developed by companies and organizations engaged in the Partnership for Resilience and Environmental Preparedness (PREP) - a pilot partnership formed to address the risks and opportunities that climate change impacts pose to businesses and the communities on which they depend. The City of Austin, Texas adopted the Imagine Austin Comprehensive Plan in 2012 and established “sustainability” as the central policy direction of the 30-year plan. Austin recognizes the impacts of climate change, and has incorporated broad climate adaptation planning goals along with many other sustainability, conservation, and green infrastructure focused strategies into this plan.

This report from the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) reviews observed and projected changes for the Gulf Coast regional climate hazards, as well as potential impacts and adaptation options. It specifically details the impacts from sea level rise, wetland loss and hurricanes, and further examines the risks that climate change poses to the region’s energy and fishing industries. The report concludes that climate impacts are already occurring across these sectors, and outlines adaptation measures that can be implemented, while reducing the region’s vulnerability and the costs associated with future impacts.
