This report summarizes the findings of the Georgetown Conservation Commission’s assessment of climate risks for the island community of Georgetown, Maine. Jointly convened by the Colorado Climate Network and the Colorado Municipal League, the Colorado Local Resilience Project was established to develop an agenda to help make Colorado communities more resilient to possible climate change impacts. The Project, comprised of 78 representatives of 30 local governments in Colorado and six other governmental and nonprofit entities active at the local level, released a report in April 2015 with climate resiliency recommendations aimed at local governments.

The report “From Boom to Bust: Climate Risk in the Golden State,” was commissioned by the Risky Business Project, a collection of business and policy leaders dedicated to publicizing the economic costs of unabated climate change. The group is chaired by environmentalist donor Tom Steyer, ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Henry Paulson Jr., a former Treasury Secretary.

The Climate Framework for Delaware, released by Governor Jack Markell on March 2, 2015, details the state’s plans for reducing carbon pollution and preparing for the future impacts of climate change. Summarizing the recommendations from the three workgroups formed under Delaware Executive Order 41- Mitigation, Adaptation, and Flood Avoidance - the Framework describes the actions that state agencies have already taken to mitigate emissions and adapt to impacts, and outlines recommendations for future actions on both fronts.

From the Public Health Institute (PHI), the report analyzes the relationships between the social determinants of health, health inequities, and climate impacts - with an eye on how vulnerable populations overall are facing greater exposure. A number of examples are given of successful projects in which communities and public health organizations are taking action on climate change, health solutions, and social equity.

From the Arizona State University and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) the Extreme Weather, Climate and Health Profile Report aims to address and plan for the Arizona’s climate-related health impacts. Through the report, the state initiated a climate and health adaptation planning process known as BRACE (Building Resilience Against Climate Effects), a framework developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide local health officials with a mechanism for addressing and adapting to climate-related public health effects.

The study was designed to determine the historic and current amount and location of tree cover, quantify the benefits, set realistic goals to expand the tree canopy, and make recommendations for achieving these goals.

This report presents the work of the New York City Panel on Climate Change (NPCC) from January 2013 to January 2015. The report (also “NPCC 2015”) documents current climate trends and climate projections for the New York metropolitan region up to 2100. It provides the City of New York with climate projections to the end of the century, both static and dynamic coastal storm surge modeling, and next steps in the development of a monitoring system for climate change impacts and adaptation. While specific to the New York City region, the approaches developed by the NPCC can contribute to efforts to enhance resiliency as they are undertaken in other locations.
