King County, Washington Climate Plan 2007
This 2007 report provides an overview of King County’s plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to anticipate and adapt to projected climate change impacts. Major accomplishments in 2007 include the development of a vulnerable facilities inventory for divisions responsible for long-term asset management, the adoption of the King County Flood Control Zone District, and discussions of how to prepare for intense storm events and identify flood system co-benefits for public health and environmental quality. Goals described for 2008 included researching the urban heat impacts on public health, implementing the flood hazard management plan, and working to develop a reclaimed water comprehensive plan.
