Energy and Environment Legislation Tracking Device
The National Conference of State Legislatures tracks state energy and environment legislation that has been introduced in the fifty states and the District of Columbia. Both climate change mitigation and adaptation searches are supported. The tracker contains bills that have been enacted, as well as those that are pending or have failed. NCSL indicates their database is updated and summarized bi-weekly. .

Flood Mitigation Assistance Program
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides Flood Mitigation Assistance funds to assist states, territories, local and federally-recognized Indian tribal governments to implement measures that reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of flood damage to buildings, manufactured homes, and other structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program. FEMA announced a new round of funding for Fiscal Year 2022 totaling $160 million. The application period for this round of funding will be open from September 30, 2021 to January 28, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. ET.
The Fiscal Year 2022 funding notice for the Flood Mitigation Assistance program adopts the Center for Disease Control's Social Vulnerability Index as an additional scoring criteria to rank applications for proposed projects and activities. This new criteria prioritizes funding for the disadvantaged communities by awarding extra points to projects that affect underserved populations.

Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory VisGallery
The Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL) develops and uses mathematical models and computer simulations to improve our understanding and prediction of the behavior of the atmosphere, the oceans, and climate. The GFDL VisGallery provides animations of scientific research results to convey complex information in graphic form. Visualizations are available for climate diagnostics; climate prediction (air temperature, water flow, Arctic sea ice changes, El Nino forecasting); hurricanes (Mitch, Floyd, Isabel, 2004 season, Katrina); mesoscale dynamics; and oceans (surface temperature, surface salinity, surface speed).

FEMA Community Assistance Program - State Support Services Element
The Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) Community Assistance Program - State Support Services Element (CAP-SSSE) provides, through a State grant mechanism, a means to ensure that communities participating in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) are achieving flood loss reduction goals of the NFIP. CAP-SSSE funds are to be used by States to provide technical assistance to NFIP communities, to evaluate community implementation/ performance of NFIP floodplain management activities, and to build State and community floodplain management expertise and capacity.

Community Resource Inventory - South Carolina
A community resource inventory is an online mapping atlas of the natural and cultural resources in a community, along with human dimensions information. The human dimensions information includes land parcels, urban areas, and streets and highways. For South Carolina, the Community Resource Inventory-South Carolina (CRI-SC) tool presents these data in an online map for users without traditional geographic information system capabilities. Having a detailed set of inventory maps can assist those who are interested in planning for the effects of sea-level rise in South Carolina.

Santa Clara Valley Water District Climate Change Portal
This web portal allows users to search for reports and other technical literature on the subject of climate change. Although focused on the Santa Clara Valley in California, the portal draws from state, local, and national reports from across the country and is thus useful to state and local governments across the country. Users can search for reports based on topics (including adaptation), date, and keyword. There are also special links to reports and websites on sea-level rise, groundwater, and climate change.
