The Central Coast Climate Collaborative works to support local and regional community leaders along California’s coast in climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives. It is made up of members from six Central Coast counties including representatives of municipal governments, environmental groups, an interfaith organization, state universities, the state’s Office of Planning and Research and the State Coastal Conservancy.

The Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program (CHNEP) is a partnership working to protect the natural environment in Florida, focusing on the seven-county watershed from Venice to Bonita Springs to Winter Haven. This partnership gives citizens, elected officials, resource managers, and commercial and recreational resource users in the 4,700-square-mile study area a voice to address diverse resource management concerns including fish and wildlife habitat loss, water quality and water flow. The watershed in the study area includes all or parts of Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Polk, Hardee and DeSoto counties.

The Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) provides scientific and technical guidance to the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) on measures to restore and protect the Chesapeake Bay. Since its creation in December 1984, STAC has worked to enhance scientific communication and outreach throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed and beyond. STAC provides scientific and technical advice in various ways, including: technical reports and papers, discussion groups, assistance in organizing merit reviews of CBP programs and projects, technical conferences and workshops, and service by STAC members on CBP subcommittees and workgroups.

The Chesapeake Research Consortium (CRC) is a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Maryland. It is an association of six institutions, each with long-standing research on problems affecting the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. The participating institutions are the Johns Hopkins University, University System of Maryland, Smithsonian Institution, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Old Dominion University, and Pennsylvania State University.

The Climate Community of Practice is a group of professionals who aim to incorporate adaptation strategies into Gulf Coast communities’ comprehensive plans, with a goal of establishing a long-term community of climate adaptation practice in the Gulf region. The group was formed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Gulf of Mexico Regional Collaboration Team and the four Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant Programs - bringing together extension, outreach and education professionals and community officials in the Gulf to learn how coastal communities can adapt to climate-related impacts.

Based at the University of Connecticut, the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation (CIRCA) aims to increase the resiliency and sustainability of Connecticut's coast and inland waterways. CIRCA addresses climate change impacts to the natural, built, and human environment by bringing together experts from engineering, economics, political science, natural science, finance, and law.

Through the University of Connecticut, the Connecticut Sea Grant College Program (CTSG) collaborates with maritime industries and coastal communities to identify needs, and fund research, outreach, and educational activities that have special relevance to Connecticut and Long Island Sound. CTSG works towards achieving healthy coastal and marine ecosystems and consequent public benefits by supporting integrated locally and nationally relevant research, outreach and education programs in partnership with stakeholders.
