This comprehensive, web-based guide from Wetlands Watch compiles sea level rise adaptation resources for local governments in coastal Virginia. The Living Shoreline Academy is an interactive website that provides a range of tools for property owners, contractors, and state and local governments about how to design, build, permit, and maintain living shorelines to mitigate erosion on shoreline property. "Living shorelines" use natural features combined with placement of stone or other small structures to provide shoreline protection that maintains and enhances important coastal ecosystem functions. Living shorelines are a strategy that many states and communities are considering for enhancing coastal resilience to sea-level rise and the impacts of climate change.

The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Adaptation Resource Center (ARC-X) is an interactive online tool designed to inform local decisionmakers about climate change impacts and adaptation solutions for communities across the U. S. The tool provides information about climate change risks on sectors as selected by the user; relevant adaptation strategies; case studies illustrating how other communities have successfully adapted to those risks and tools to replicate their successes; and EPA funding opportunities.

From the Georgetown Climate Center, the new Green Infrastructure Toolkit is a comprehensive guide presenting a wide array of best green infrastructure practices from cities across the country. The tool is integrated with this Adaptation Clearinghouse to showcase some of the best examples available, whether you are just getting started, scaling up, determining how to pay for green infrastructure, or working to ensure that local policies are integrated with climate equity and environmental justice efforts in the community.

Developed under the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Ready Water Utilities (CRWU) initiative, the Adaptation Case Study and Information Exchange is a website featuring climate change adaptation strategies that water sector utilities are deploying across the country. The website has an interactive map linking to case studies produced by the EPA. Each point on the map represents a drinking water, wastewater, or combined utility that provides the climate threats facing the utility, as well as the corresponding adaptation measures that the utility considered for implementation.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has launched the New York Climate Change Science Clearinghouse - a website for climate-related information including flood maps, data on sea level and temperature changes, and other information to aid in planning for future extreme weather events. Developed by New York State in partnership with federal, university and public-private organizations, the Clearinghouse provides access to more than 1,000 maps, data sets, and documents that show the impacts of climate change on infrastructure, transportation, energy, water resources, ecosystems, agriculture and public health.

The Jean Lafitte Flood Preparedness Toolkit developed by the Town of Jean Lafitte, Louisiana, provides information, guidelines and recommended regulations to reduce flood risk in the region. Jean Lafitte faces many climate related impacts including sea level rise, storm surge, hurricanes, with subsequent extreme flooding, erosion and permanent wetland loss - that in turn leads to more flooding. The toolkit provides best practices and guidelines to reduce flood risk on a Site and Building Scale as well as on Community Scale development.

In September 2015, the Urban Sustainability Directors Network (USDN), in partnership with the Government Alliance on Race and Equity and the Center for Social Inclusion, launched a professional development program for sustainability directors and their staff for advancing racial equity into sustainability planning and development. The program became available online and includes a holistic curriculum of five webinars, videos and worksheets to support local government staff in applying an equity lens to sustainability projects.
